Jr. Warriors Program

We are a Christian parent-run homeschool basketball team for players in grades 6 – 12. We practice twice a week in Sioux City and travel to play other homeschool basketball teams in Iowa, Nebraska, and Kansas 

Our mission is to teach players about teamwork through basketball and to provide a Christian community for families to build healthy and long-lasting relationships. 

We want to provide an opportunity for players to improve their basketball skills and build relationships with other families before middle school so they will be more prepared to join our team when they get older. 

Our plan is to have 12 practices beginning in November. We will focus on basic basketball skills and game rules and provide opportunities to scrimmage. This will prepare the players to participate in a local basketball tournament in December. The levels of competition at the basketball tournament will be determined by the number and ages of players that choose to participate. 

Since we are focusing mostly on basic skills, this program is designed for all homeschool players between 4-6th grades or players in 7-8th that have not played before.

Yes! One of the great parts of being a parent-run organization is the opportunity to be involved with our children and other like-minded families on the team. On the other hand, one of the hard parts of being a parent-run organization is that we can only make this Junior Warriors program work out if we have parents that are willing to work with their children at home and step up to help at practices or the tournament.
